seeking inspiration · be the art

i went to an event at an art museum. have a few drinks...check out some art...and, of course, look for bits of inspiration.

lucky me: my stylish cousin, ALYSSA, came along. and she rocked neon, orange and gunmetal.

and then...we stumbled upon this little platform.

so she became a beautiful statue!

friday find · flirty floral

so i dug a LITTLE bit deeper this time.

the thrift store i visited was organized by clothing type, then organized by size. can i get an 'organized by color'?!
ok, i may be asking a bit much. no worries,i was looking for a print anyway.

and i found one!

to be honest, i don't wholly dislike her look. 

but. 

there's no part of me that can argue this outfit is stylish.

however.

it's bright and my eyes are attracted to all the colors.

plus.

her (pajama) pants have an all-over super mario print.

the 8-year old in me thinks she's really cool.

the blogger in me remains bemused.

that outfit should not have left the house.

seeking·inspiration·she chooses health

this past sunday was mother's day and i spent the morning running a 5k with my mama.

the color run: they call it the happiest 5k you'll ever run.

and it was.  by the end you're covered in colored powder. pure awesomeness.

but here's the best part.  mom just spent the past year losing 35 lbs.  and so she ran a 5k. with her kids. on mother's day.

SHE IS AWESOMENESS.

after the run, mom and her 3+1 kids (the +1 married into the family last year)

spring time = bright colors = my ♥!

but i have to admit, she forced me to take a second and third look...though probably not for the right reasons.

you know what? some people value comfort above all. and for them, that's just dandy.
