bemuse·that had to hurt!?

the other day i met this MOM with the craaaaziest tattoo. she pointed out all the spots it hurt when she got it done 20 years ago. (note: she pointed out A LOT of spots)

for many years, she wore her hair longer because "people are so judgmental".

her son is now 25 so she's ready to show it off again. hey, it's not anything i would ever wear but she's definitely staying true to her own look.

when i asked if i could snap a photo, she quickly asked my name. i responded just as quickly. she thought about it for a good 10 seconds and said OK. umm, what if i had a different name?

haha.

rock on mama, rock on.

me: so now you can do whatever the hell you want?

her: f*** yeah!

she was a gem.

it's coming... sun, summer and the happiest weather you'll ever find! and JEN is the most adorable aesthetician you'll ever, ever find! how fun that this is what she gets to wear to work?

of course the belt is fab, but my favorite part (and what you can't see too well in the picture) is that she's rockin' a gold watch and bangle on the SAME wrist...simple...but so perfect.

this past sunday was mother's day and i spent the morning running a 5k with my mama.

the color run: they call it the happiest 5k you'll ever run.

and it was.  by the end you're covered in colored powder. pure awesomeness.

but here's the best part.  mom just spent the past year losing 35 lbs.  and so she ran a 5k. with her kids. on mother's day.

SHE IS AWESOMENESS.

last week i went to the grand opening of SELL YOUR SOLE CONSIGNMENT BOUTIQUE and met someone who has done exactly what so many of us want to do: she followed her heart (or SOLE in this case) and opened up a fabulous shop.

at the opening, we sipped, munched, shopped and i scored a sexy tuxedo-style shirt which you know i'll be rockin' at the next fab event!

i can't help but be inspired by anyone who is doing what they love.  and NATALIA is making all of us look great in the process.
